When the game "Ape Escape" came out in 1999 on the PlayStation, I was 9 years old. Along with the game, I received the translucent green DualShock controller. That game really left a lasting impression on me! The electronic music by Soichi Terada, the colorful art style, all the gadgets to collect, and that ingenious gameplay that made such clever use of the joysticks.
This game is one of my all-time favorites and continues to influence me to this day.
So I wanted to pay homage to the fun of this game by creating a 3D-printed monkey lamp!
The lamp is cut into several parts. No glue is needed—the pieces simply snap together. You’ll find the colored .3mf files and the STL files in the folder.
To assemble the lamp, you’ll need an electrical cord, a 6-pin socket, and a switch.
The lamp is compatible with E14 and E27 sockets.
GOTCHA!
Dream it, print it, make it yours!
