A 3D-printable watch powered by the electronic module from the Casio F-105W-1A.
Introducing a new version of my 3D-printable watch: the Mochii T2D. A tribute to the designers and design studios that inspire me every day.
From Dieter Rams to Nothing and CMF, with a touch of Teenage Engineering, I wanted to bring these different influences together to create a watch that blends minimalism and technology, sharp angles and smooth curves, understated design and playful flexibility.
The watch uses the Casio F-105W-1A module, giving it the benefit of its excellent backlight, which is significantly better than the one found on the F-91W (although the F-91W is slimmer)!
The watch strap is designed to be printed in TPU. I used both 95A and 90A TPU for my prints. All the other parts should be printed in PLA, using the highest possible print quality, as the components are relatively small. I personally used a 0.12 mm layer height profile.
To assemble the strap clasp, you will need:
-
One M3 nut
-
One 30 mm M3 screw
The overall look of your watch can completely change depending on the colours you choose. Whether you prefer a perfectly coordinated monochrome look or a bold, multi-colour combination, let your creativity run wild and make your own version!
Dream it, print it, make it yours!
